ABOUT US

Hour of Harvest is a ministry dedicated to reaching people of all nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through four avenues: outdoor evangelism, strategic church planting, leadership training, and humanitarian aid.  Although HOH has worked in over 24 nations, it is currently focusing on Kenya, the Philippines, Brazil, Venezuela, Cuba, and Afghanistan.

Hour of Harvest planted two churches in the 1980's in the Philippines. Those churches are continuing to plant new churches and multiply. Two ISOM Bible Training Centers were started to help develop leaders. Leadership development and discipleship training is key to the ministry of HOH.

Because of its heart to strengthen and to give aid to Third World countries, Hour of Harvest digs water wells and installs water pumps, provides food, clothing, eyeglasses, and provisional means to find employment. In addition, personal amenities such as computers, study materials, books, mobile phones, bicycles, and motorcycles are also donated to national pastors in need.  Finances have been sent to help Christians in the recent Afghanistan crisis.  Currently, medical supplies are being sent to Cuba as well.

A recent July trip to Kenya saw 82 people pray for salvation, mostly through door-to-door evangelism.  Through the power of the Lord Jesus, 25 people reported being healed of physical conditions as our team prayed.

Two or three times a year, HOH takes teams to other nations to evangelize, teach at conventions and conferences, minister to youth and children, and show Jesus' love. If you want to know more about Hour of Harvest or join us on a mission trip, please email us.

MEET THE FOUNDER/PRESIDENT

RONDA MARTZ

Co-Founder, President

Born and raised in rural Nebraska, Ronda attended a one room schoolhouse and worked alongside her three siblings on their father and mother’s beekeeping business.

Ronda graduated from a small Lutheran college in Nebraska with a BS degree in elementary education. From there, she moved up to Minneapolis, Minnesota to become part of a house church where she met her future husband, Bobby Martz, who was a traveling evangelist at the time. While in Minneapolis, she worked in the spiritual counseling department of Billy Graham organization for three years.

After Bobby and Ronda were married in 1973, they proceeded to India for on-the-job training in crusade ministries.  Then they held crusades in Haiti, and eventually in the Philippines, where they lived for 14 years and raised three children. Doors then opened to Kenya, Germany, Brazil, Costa Rica, and other nations.

Since Bobby‘s passing in August, 2020, Ronda has become the president of Hour of Harvest, a nonprofit organization in the US, and also president of the New Covenant Mission Inc. in the Philippines.  Ronda has a passion for the Word of God, the Presence of the Lord, worship, helping the poor, getting Bibles to the needy, and reaching the world for Christ.

She is the mother of three awesome adult children and three incredible grandchildren. Manna Church in Fayetteville has been her home church for 25 years.

IN MEMORY OF BOBBY MARTZ

BOBBY MARTZ, FORMER PRESIDENT & CO-FOUNDER OF HOUR OF HARVEST

Bobby was saved at the age of 18 in the Navy. He served God well until he passed away August 6, 2020. He was an Evangelist, but also planted churches in the Philippines and pastored them for eight years. Bobby was an incredible teacher of the Word of God. He had more Scripture memorized than most people, so he was like a walking concordance. God blessed him with prophetic messages, visions from the Lord, and used him to impart healing, deliverance, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Everyone said he was so humble, unassuming, and REAL. He prayed for people at Walmart or anywhere he was. No one was a stranger to Bobby Martz. Bobby loved his wife, Ronda, and his 3 children and grandchildren very much.

Last week I got someone's first impression of Bobby. I think it describes him well. The writer says: "One Sunday morning, I visited a little church in Ohio. There was a special speaker, Evangelist Bobby Martz, visiting from North Carolina. He was an older man, balding, glasses, suit and tie. He looked like an engineer. All proper and stoic. I didn’t expect much from him since he looked boring. He began talking about his experiences in the supernatural realm as if he was ordering eggs and bacon for breakfast. So matter of factly. He was so sweet and calm. He never raised his voice and kept a gentle tone. He was not trying to convince anyone of anything. He was speaking of the things of which he had personal knowledge. He didn’t need you to believe him."
